BIBLE STUDY
Wednesdays, 7:00pm-8:30pm, September 8 thru November 17, in the Parish House
    
Fall Season Focus:  "The Nazareth Jesus Knew"   
            
Filmed on location in Israel, this television series hosted by
             Pat Boone and Gary Bayer creates a living presentation of the life,
             times and teachings of Jesus.  Each weekly DVD of this series is a launching point
             into further study of Scripture in order to become stronger disciples of Jesus the Messiah.

Fall Season Focus: "The Gospel of St. Luke"
             
Opening the Holy Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ according to St. Luke,
              exploring how it continues to strengthen, challenge and equip disciples and
              the Church today.

    Parish trip  --  Open to parishioners, friends and neighbors.
    A group will travel via coach tour bus to experience this spectacular performance
    of the forgiveness and character of Joseph.  From the tents of Canaan
    to the palaces of Egypt, Joseph will inspire us all to live for the glory of God!
          Cost for show and bus:  $80, adults  ($54, ages 13-18;  $42, ages 3-12)
          Reservations: non-refundable $50 deposit per participant.  Final payment due September 15.

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL
2010 Theme - SonQuest Rainforest: Following Jesus on a Life-Changing Adventure!
Monday thru Friday . . . . July 12 - 16 . . . . 9:00am - 12:15pm
    During the exciting week of summer Vacation Bible School, children, teens and adults gather for
    lively worship, friends, fun, Bible study, music and crafts -- All to become stronger disciples of Jesus.
    Each day we will learn from the Bible what it means to follow Jesus as our Savior and Lord.

VACATION BIBLE CLUB, Christ Church, Jerusalem, Israel

2010 Theme - Clothed in His Righteousness
Monday thru Friday, July 19 - 23

      In Summer 2008, Marie Howanstine-Moubarak, parish missioner, guided a team from Christ Church,
     Calvert County and Christ Church, Jerusalem, in launching the first Vacation Bible Club at partner parish,
     Christ Church, Jaffa Gate, Old City, Jerusalem, Israel.  Each summer, Marie continues to gather an international
     community of children, teens and adults from at least three language groups -- Hebrew, Arabic, English --
     for Catherine Howanstine  (assisted by Fr. John) to coordinate an exciting week of lively worship, friends, fun,
     Bible study, music and crafts--  All to become stronger disciples of Jesus, and experience the joy and power of
     reconciliation and Christian community in Him.
