Monday thru Friday, July 19 - 23
In Summer 2008, Marie Howanstine-Moubarak,
parish missioner, guided a team from Christ Church,
Calvert County and Christ Church, Jerusalem, in launching the
first Vacation Bible Club at partner parish,
Christ Church, Jaffa Gate, Old City, Jerusalem, Israel.
Each summer, Marie continues to gather an international
community of children, teens and adults from at least three
language groups -- Hebrew, Arabic, English --
for Catherine Howanstine (assisted by Fr. John) to coordinate
an exciting week of lively worship, friends, fun,
Bible study, music and crafts-- All to become stronger
disciples of Jesus, and experience the joy and power of
reconciliation and Christian community in Him.
