Winter Season Focus: "How Should We Then Live?
              
A documentary DVD series provides a sweeping epic on the rise and decline
               of Western thought and culture.  Each episode focuses on a significant era,
               also speaking with clear direction to 21st century problems.  Humanity's only
               hope is a return to God's biblical absolute, the truth revealed in Christ through
               Holy Scripture.

Winter Season Focus: "The Prophets of the Old Testament"
             
Opening those books within the Old Testament known as the writings of  the
              prophets, exploring how each continues to challenge and equip disciples and
              the Church today.

LENTEN FELLOWSHIP EVENINGS
Fridays in Lent, February 26, March 5, 12, 19, 26
Parishioners and friends gather each Friday evening within Lent at Christ Church to
"continue in the apostles' teaching and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in the prayers."

7:15pm  -  Program Series:  "The Heart of Passion"
                             DVD presentations by Louie Giglio paint a profound picture of what
                             our lives look like when we live in complete trust in the God of the Bible.
                             Each talk is full of wonder, personal challenge and an incredible picture
                             of God's grace.   (Louie Giglio's ministry includes speaking across the
                             nation at conferences and campuses to young people from middle school
                             through graduate school.)

    

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL
2010 Theme - SonQuest Rainforest: Following Jesus on a Life-Changing Adventure!
Monday thru Friday, July 12 - 16
    During the exciting week of summer Vacation Bible School, children, teens and adults gathered for
    lively worship, friends, fun, Bible study, music and crafts -- All to become stronger disciples of Jesus
    Each day we will learned from, various people in the Bible what it means to choose Jesus as our Savior and Lord.

VACATION BIBLE CLUB, Christ Church, Jerusalem, Israel

2010 Theme - Clothed in His Righteousness
Monday thru Friday, July 19 - 23

      In Summer 2008, Marie Howanstine-Moubarak, parish missioner, guided a team from Christ Church,
     Calvert County and Christ Church, Jerusalem, in launching the first Vacation Bible Club at partner parish,
     Christ Church, Jaffa Gate, Old City, Jerusalem, Israel.  Each summer, Marie continues to gather an international
     community of children, teens and adults from at least three language groups -- Hebrew, Arabic, English --
     for Catherine Howanstine  (assisted by Fr. John) to coordinate an exciting week of lively worship, friends, fun,
     Bible study, music and crafts--  All to become stronger disciples of Jesus, and experience the joy and power of
     reconciliation and Christian community in Him.
